Previous Work
I'm not going to bore you with an exhaustive list of every gig I've ever worked on or every band I've ever made something for because tbh I can't be bothered to dig out the invoices. Instead I've put in a few highlights which covers most of the stuff I do.
I have been working with Edinburgh Showtec since 2009. In that time I've had the privilege of working at some great events and concerts in various roles: Being on the sound crew for Bon Jovi and The Kings of Leon, Building stages for Edinburgh's Hogmanay, working on the lighting crew for a major Bollywood film. Being on a 4 man team constructing the Sainburys roadshow. Not to mention regular concerts at the HMV Picture House, The Playhouse, The Corn Exchange, The Usher Hall and Edinburgh Castle.

I am the crew boss at the Whitby Goth Weekend, this is a two day music festival in the Whitby Pavilion, most of the crew are volunteers from Manchester based charity Urban Alternatives so apart from all the usual aspects of a festival I have to set some time aside to make sure the volunteers are getting the most out of the experience, enjoying themselves and most importantly working in a safe manner!

The Aerie is live performance space within the Jekyll&Hyde. It's a work in progress but the aim is to make it the best small gig room in Edinburgh. It already features quite a nice sound system and even has a couple of lights. The first gig was an all day event featuring everything from acoustic folk to a full grundge covers band. I'm the house engineer.

Party Fears Three are an eighties covers band specialising in the electronic music of the era. I have worked as their FOH engineer and also helped with many other technical aspects of the show.
So in 2007 I was the FOH engineer for the festival, I've also setup various after show parties, crewed at some of their other gigs, DJed, fixed broken dj kit and specced hire packages. I wouldn't mind doing another festival but only if there was a bigger budget for crew.... or perhaps the little minions from Manchester.
An industrial music project from multi-instrument
alist Alan Emslie. Plastic Noose is focused on heavy bass guitar, hard drums and growling vocals. He's a really nice bloke too which makes working with him even better. You wont find me mixing all his gigs but you'll certainly find me behind the desk for a few. Have a look at his website: http://www.plasticnoose.com/
I've also made loads of cables for DM Audio, Built exhibition stands in Harrowgate and Birmingham, designed and built lighting systems for architectural models and a long time ago I used to work for a company called Bedford Opto Electronics.
